National Defence Sector Lead | Engineering & Construction

The Company

Our client is a well-established, Australian, and employee-owned engineering consulting firm, working on some of the most exciting and innovative building and infrastructure projects in the world.

They are a multiple award winner, renowned for their technical excellence and client experience.

The role

Due to sustained growth within this sector over recent years, our client is looking to recruit an experienced professional to take ownership of the Defence business unit nationally.

You will lead and grow the team, oversee the project portfolio nationally, working with the broader business development and delivery network, driving continuous improvement across the business.

The successful candidate will ideally be located within Eastern Australia (Brisbane preferred) and be willing to travel to different regions as required.

About you

• At least 10 years of relevant leadership experience within the Defence sector


• Australian Citizen (preferably with active or previous Baseline Clearance)


• A demonstrable understanding of State and Federal Government project management frameworks


• Knowledge and understanding of Defence's procurement and management systems and processes.


• Maintains a strong network of contractors and other consultants within the Defence sector


• Ability to provide strategic advice to clients and oversee procurement processes


• Current and/or previous consulting experience.
