Financial Controller
Job Description:
Our client, a reputable financial services firm, have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join their Edinburgh team on a permanent basis.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring key financial and regulatory reporting deliverables are produced.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Ideally a qualified accountant or qualified by experience
- Extensive financial reporting experience
- Technical and regulatory knowledge desirable
- Excellent stakeholders skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to inspire, share and listen to ideas.
- Self-starter
- Problem solver
Core Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining key process documentation for reporting processes and ensuring robust controls are in place to support key reporting outcomes.
- Reporting reconciliations and ensuring processes deliver efficiencies and value add across the finance function.
- Month end reporting and input of month end journals across the finance function to understand key inputs and trends within the financial results.
- Plan and implement all board, regulatory and group reporting outputs where required including succinct analytics for presentation to senior business leaders.
- End of year reporting supporting and deliver timely inputs to the group reporting process, as well as plan and implement statutory reporting outputs.
