Static Stress Repair Engineer

Role Overview:
Are you passionate about aerospace engineering and structural analysis? Join our dynamic and reactive team as a Stress Repair Engineer! You will play a crucial role in the analysis and validation of metallic and composite structures for static strength to support structural repairs according to validated methods.

Ensuring adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods, and manufacturing capabilities guidelines is paramount.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide stress analysis and signatory support to sub-contractor generated structural analysis work, mainly repair procedures and justification documentation.

Our mission is to deliver bespoke and optimal repair solutions in response to damage reports, ensuring that operator schedules are maintained and aircraft downtime is minimized.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide signature support to subcontractor agencies.

  • Review and verify repair documentation delivered by subcontractors.

  • Collaborate with Repair Design and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineers as part of an integrated engineering team, maintaining the team's strategy, policy, and direction.


Skill Set:


Essential:



  • Must have held a delegated repair stress signature for SA and LR aircraft, for SAS and TD.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational levels.

  • Ability to set objectives and prioritize tasks to meet time, cost, and quality targets.

  • Current or previous holder of Stress approval signature for TD and SAS for metallic or composite structures.

  • Proficiency in static analysis of aircraft structures using both hand calculations and computer methods.

  • Strong negotiation and liaison skills with Design, Customer Services, and suppliers.

  • Demonstrable PC skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
