Responsibilities of a Senior EC&I Engineer:

• Developing and upholding engineering technical standards, process safety management standards, and work processes for maintenance, improvement, and projects, as well as managing equipment records and data.


• Ensure the adoption and maintenance of new technologies across the site.


• Collaborate with other business functions to effectively implement standards while managing risk.


• Oversee engineering work to ensure compliance with engineering arrangements, legal, regulatory, contractual, COMAH, and governance obligations.


• Operate across multiple manufacturing processes, ensuring the achievement and implementation of relevant KPIs and best practices.


• Act as a certified competent person for functional safety in process and machinery, electrical compliance for ATEX areas, and automation and cybersecurity.


• Lead high-severity root cause analysis sessions for Electrical, Control & Instrumentation incidents.

To be successful in this position as a Senior EC&I Engineer, the ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within chemical / petrochemical manufacturing.
