Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Principal Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join their team ona contract basis.

ROLE: Principal Contracts & Procurement Lawyer
LOCATION: North London / hybrid
RATE: £60.00 to £72.00 per hour
CONTRACT: Initial 6 months with scope for extension

Please note that this would be hybrid working.

The Role

• To manage a caseload of complex contracts and procurement work


• To be involved at a high level in advising on strategic, corporate and governance matters


• Management of the Contracts and Procurement Team (6 team members) and attend the legal services Extended Management Team

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years' PQE


• Previous working experience within a local authority legal department would be essential


• Management of staff within a legal services team would also be a requirement
