As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team.

Position Overview:
As a Field Service Heavy Plant Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective maintenance, repair, and operation of our extensive fleet of heavy plant machinery.

From excavators and bulldozers to loaders and cranes, your expertise will be essential in keeping our machinery in optimal condition to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.

This role requires you to be mobile and travel to various project sites across the North West UK.

Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance of heavy plant machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Carry out repairs, servicing, and component replacements on a wide range of equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, adhering to service intervals and maintaining accurate records.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, utilizing your expertise to identify and implement effective solutions.
Respond promptly to breakdowns, providing timely and efficient repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of spare parts and equipment as needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site.
Collaborate with colleagues and operators, providing technical advice and guidance when necessary.
Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or similar role, with a solid understanding of heavy machinery maintenance and repair.
Proficient knowledge of various types of heavy plant equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
Experience in conducting on-site inspections, servicing, and repairs, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
Excellent understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems commonly found in heavy machinery.
Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently and under pressure, managing priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and guidance to colleagues and operators.
Relevant technical qualifications and certifications are highly desirable.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites within the North West UK.
Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from £14 per hour to £18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
