My client are an industry leader within the Motor trade industry, Covering a number of contracts throughout the South East

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Newbury are for an experienced Service Advisor

Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, actively listen to their vehicle-related concerns, and provide professional and courteous service throughout their visit.
- Service Recommendations: Utilize your expertise and product knowledge to accurately assess vehicle issues and recommend appropriate maintenance or repair solutions to customers.
- Appointment Management: Schedule and coordinate service appointments efficiently, considering the availability of technicians and ensuring optimal use of workshop capacity.
- Service Consultation: Clearly communicate recommended services, associated costs, and estimated repair times to customers.

Obtain necessary approvals before proceeding with repairs.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct preliminary vehicle inspections and consult with technicians to gather accurate information about potential problems and required repairs.
- Upselling and Maintenance Programs: Inform customers about maintenance programs, service packages, and any additional services that may enhance their vehicle's performance and longevity.
- Customer Education: Provide customers with information about routine vehicle maintenance, service intervals, and best practices to optimize their vehicle's performance and prevent potential issues.
- Workshop Liaison: Act as a liaison between customers and the workshop, ensuring that technicians understand the customer's concerns and that customers are updated on the progress of their vehicles.
- Invoicing and Payments: Prepare detailed and accurate invoices for completed services, explain the breakdown of costs to customers, and process payments efficiently.
- Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback to assess satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement in service delivery.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and technicians.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for service scheduling and invoicing.
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service and a drive to exceed customer expectations.
