Our client is the largest private orthopaedic group in the UK, specialising in orthopaedics and sports medicine.

They diagnose and treat thousands of patients each year, from elite athletes to those with chronic conditions, offering the latest evidence-based treatments.

As the Deputy Lead Recovery Practitioner your responsibilities will include:



  • Deputising in the absence of the Lead Practitioner.

  • Assisting in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

  • Ensuring high clinical standards and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Managing operating lists, staff skills, and equipment.

  • Maintaining equipment and contributing to budget management.

  • Training and orientating new staff, including bank, agency, and students.

  • Participating in incident investigations and quality audits.



The ideal Deputy Lead Practitioner - Recovery and Enhanced Care Unit will have:



  • Registered NMC/HCPC status

  • A degree and considerable further professional development

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in an operating theatre setting

  • Evidence of clinical reasoning skills across varied patient case mixes

  • An ILS qualification
