Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:


As a Maintenance Engineer at our Whitley Bridge site, you will be crucial in maintaining and repairing all electrical and mechanical plant and machinery.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring optimal condition of all equipment, managing contractors, and driving continuous improvements in engineering practices.


Roles & Responsibilities of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer:



  • Ensure all machinery and equipment is fully operational and maintained to the highest standards.

  • Develop and utilise the engineering CMMS system effectively.

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.

  • Manage and monitor contractor activities in line with site policies.

  • Produce and review work approvals and permits for contractors and in-house activities.

  • Implement and promote engineering improvements to enhance site efficiency's.

  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Liaise professionally with external contractors and suppliers.



The Ideal background of a Maintenance Engineer:



  • Multi-skilled engineering background with an electrical bias.

  • Proven maintenance engineering experience including PPM and CMMS in an FMCG setting.

  • Food manufacturing experience.

  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.



Requirements:



  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations certification.

  • Core Electrical qualification with previous experience.

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • PLC and process control knowledge.

  • IOSH Qualification.

  • Experience in food or FMCG environments with a basic food hygiene certificate.

  • Proficient in CMMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

  • Full UK Driving License.

  • Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Goole, DN14 0GH
