Job Title: Semi-Skilled Line Technician

Location: Huddersfield

Salary: £26,000.00 - £30,000.00 per year

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Responsibilities:


  • Audits: Work meticulously to meet tight audit requirements and standards.
  • Operating Machinery: Efficiently operate machinery within a manufacturing setting, ensuring smooth and consistent production processes.
  • Line and Tool Changes: Perform line and tool changes, including set-ups, to maintain and optimize production flow.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ensuring accuracy and speed in task completion.
  • Ingredient Mixing: Weigh and mix chemicals and other ingredients according to precise specifications.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all.
  • Production Planning: Contribute to production planning efforts to meet and exceed operational targets.
  • KPI Adherence: Monitor and ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.
  • Communication: Maintain effective and clear communication with team members and management.

Personal Experience, Skills, and Attitude:


  • Experience: Previous experience in mixing, milling, or a similar technical role is essential for success in this position.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours as required by the role.
  • Fork Lift Truck License: Preferred but not essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and good communication skills to ensure high-quality output.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrates a strong work ethic, is self-motivated, and maintains good physical fitness.
  • Reliability: Conscientious, with a commitment to good timekeeping and dependability.
  • Leadership: As a senior member on the shop floor, you will be responsible for identifying potential improvements in production and effectively communicating these to senior management.

Hours of Work:


  • Standard Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm; Friday, 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.
  • Shift Rotation: One day per week (Monday to Thursday only), you will work a later shift from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm instead of the standard hours.

    Flexibility in working hours is essential.
