Mechanical Design Engineer with electronic packaging experience required to work on the Mechanical Design of sensor housing and electronic enclosures.



Skills
3D mechanical CAD design experience including the preparation of toleranced engineering drawings.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Numerical and analysis knowledge.


Experience packaging electronics
Practical mechanical engineering skills for building prototypes.


Automotive electronics packaging exposure.
Machine shop tools e.g.

lathe, mill etc.
Knowledge of Python for data analysis and visualisation

Responsibilities
Design analysis of the mechanical components of two novel sensor designs
Resonance analysis in Femap and design vibration damping
Organise and attend vibration testing and produce reports
