Director of Engineering

Location: Vancouver, BC

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000

Located in the heart of the city, my client is seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee and enhance the maintenance and operational efficiency of their luxury property.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and implement innovative solutions to uphold the hotel's high standards of excellence and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stay informed and adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure superior standards are consistently maintained daily.
• Act as the Director of Engineering in their absence and collaborate with the Executive Team to achieve the hotel’s goals.
• Oversee the hotel's maintenance and preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain division standards and control objectives.
• Establish and implement annual objectives for the Engineering department.
• Provide continuous training and development to ensure team skills are up to date.
• Respond to daily work orders promptly, ensuring proper follow-up and completion

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 - 10 years expereince in a similar position for a luxury property
• Strong familiarity with project management and collaborative software
• Proven knowledge of a variety of heating and cooling systems
• Ability to design and impliment operating standards and procedures
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, fire and local mechanical codes
