Civil Engineer

Our client based in Lancashire are currently recruiting for a Chartered Civil Engineer to join their Highways and Drainage Team as soon as possible.

This is a full time, permanent role based in either Chorley or Lancaster and the client are offering a salary range of between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.

The purpose of the role is to mentor graduate engineers and engineering technicians to assist on existing workload and develop their skillsets to meet the required needs and demands of our clients and business goals.

Requirements:

• The successful candidate must be chartered with either CIWEM, ICE and/or CIHT and will be required to ensure best practices are applied within the office and to assist the Directors with improving design services and operational efficiency.


• Minimum three years' experience within Highways and Drainage design Proficient use of AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or equivalent design software Producing detailed drainage and highway calculations and sketches Following principals outlined in CIRIA design guides


• BRE digest


• BS EN752 and the Design and Construction Guidance Working experience within the adoptable standards Section 278


• Section 38 and 104 Commercial awareness of costing


• budgets and quotations Report writing Site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings Preparing Specifications
