IT Support Engineer

IT support engineer - up to £49000 - Hindlip - Hybrid
We are looking for an experienced IT support technician to join one of our key clients within the Worcester area, within this role you will be working within a diverse and dynamic team of IT support professionals providing mentorship of colleagues, delivering technical support across the organisation, and helping to shape the IT Support function moving forwards.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering top tier IT support to people across the business both remotely and hands-on


• Work closely with a diverse team of IT professionals and work together to deliver on agreed SLAs in line with company requirements


• Assess and develop team members' skills and potential


• Coordinate tasks, manage priorities, and optimize resource use


• Oversee information handling and record-keeping in line with regulations


• Address issues and ensure adherence to professional standards

• Monitor and report on budget expenditure for efficiency


• Evaluate and improve processes for continuous enhancement


• Appropriate candidates must be willing and able to operate on an “on call” basis on occasion, this will be dictated by organisational needs and the capacity of the team and will be conveyed/communicated with plenty of prior notice

Skills, Experience, and Certifications:

• Familiarity with ITIL ways of working and best practices


• Experience working with team members both virtually and in the office and across various teams/departments

• Strong experience in troubleshooting and systems management, working with a broad and diverse userbase


• Proficient in the use of VMware, databases, Backup & Recovery, OS environments, and Business apps

• Ability to work in difficult and time sensitive situations


• Experienced with handling upgrades and stakeholder management/collaboration
