Learning Mentor

Are you passionate about offering the relevant guidance and support to a pupil as a Learning Mentor?

Integra Education are on the lookout for a dedicated Learning Mentor to help motivate a pupil, enabling them to unlock their potential and thrive both academically and personally.

This role has a total of 18 hours available and will be split across 3 days from Monday-Friday.

The ideal candidate will show resilience and empathy at all times whilst working close by with a pupil with SEN.

Responsibilities:

• Support the student in developing social skills, fostering positive relationships, and managing emotions by offering a calm and encouraging presence during challenging situations.


• Provide tailored support to a student with a range of special educational needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, sensory impairments, and emotional or behavioural challenges.


• Transport the pupil to and from a range of different activities.


• Plan and deliver activities that match the pupil's interest.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive knowledge of various SEN conditions, including autism, ADHD, and sensory impairments, is crucial.


• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach when working with students who may present challenging behaviours or require additional support.


• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.


• Clean UK driving licence with access to a car


• DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
