Psychiatric Registrar - Mental Health Service

THE POSITION


Our Client is offering a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Medical Officer to join our Mental Health Service as a Psychiatric Registrar (Stage 3) from February 2025 to February 2027.

This full-time position will provide a dynamic working environment, where you will contribute to both inpatient and community mental health services, enhancing your career in psychiatry.


As a Psychiatric Registrar, you will work within a highly regarded Mental Health Service known for its innovative, community-based approach to client-centered care.

You will be involved in providing mental health assessments and treatments, working closely with a diverse demographic.

Our recovery-oriented framework emphasizes collaboration with families and carers to ensure holistic, high-quality care.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Delivering psychiatric care in both inpatient and community settings.

  • Applying recovery-oriented practices in clinical work with consumers and carers.

  • Working under the supervision and mentorship of experienced consultant psychiatrists.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS


The ideal candidate will have:



  • Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent.
