Residential Development Solicitor

A well-respected law firm dedicated to making a positive impact in communities is seeking a skilled Residential Development Solicitor to join its Social Housing team.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base in the residential development sector.

The firm specialises in legal services aimed at improving lives and communities and is looking for individuals who share its values and mission.



Job Duties:



  • Act on behalf of Registered Providers and related entities in various real estate transactions.

  • Engage with clients to foster strong relationships and support business development initiatives.

  • Manage transactions with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of autonomy.

  • Prepare and review legal documentation related to property acquisitions, dispositions, and development.

  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance and governance issues affecting residential development.

  • Negotiate and draft contracts, options, and agreements related to residential development projects.

  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for development sites and funding arrangements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, construction, and procurement.

  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.



Job Skills:



  • 3-10 years PQE in Real Estate law, with a track record of working with Registered Providers or similar clients.

  • Strong understanding of affordable housing transactions.

  • Excellent client relationship skills and a proactive approach to business development.

  • Ability to mentor and supervise junior team members.
