Warehouse Operative (Finishing Department)
Calder Vale, Garstang
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm (39 hours per week)
Rate of pay PAYE £11.44

Must have your own transport due to the location.
Free company minibus service from Garstang/Catterall area.
Summary
Our client is a well-established textile manufacturing company based in Calder Vale, Garstang.
Warehouse operative Roles and Responsibilities

• Repair and hand sewing of textile products


• Operation of semi-automatic machinery and product transportation


• Quality control and inspection of products, inputting key data into a computerized (touch screen) system


• Manual dexterity is required.
  
  Daily tasks are divided between sitting for repairs and standing for machinery operation, with some lifting involved

Desirable Candidate Qualities

• Ability to work well in a small team


• Strong work ethic in a fast-paced, varied role with some heavy lifting


• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment


• Willingness to learn new skills


• Attention to detail for quality control checks and repairs


• Ability to meet quality and performance targets


• Good communication skills(verbal and written)


• No previous experience in textiles or sewing is required as full training will be provided.


• Overtime available after training and target completion

The Package
This is a temporary, Warehouse Operative role,39 hours per week for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
