Job Title: Senior Staff Specialist - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon


Position Type: Part-Time, Fixed-Term (36 hours per fortnight) - Starting as soon as possible

Position Details



  • Join a committed team as a Senior Staff Specialist - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with Tasmania Health, where you will:

  • Serve a diverse patient population across northern Tasmania, covering public and private sectors.

  • Take part in elective and acute surgeries, outpatient clinics, and provide essential consultative services to other specialty units.

  • Engage actively in research, quality assurance, and teaching programs, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in patient care.

  • Mentor and support Registrars and Residents, including involvement in SET Registrar training and multidisciplinary team meetings.



Benefits



  • Competitive Salary: $210,000 - $301,349 per annum, pro rata, plus 11.5% superannuation and salary packaging.

  • Allowances: $28,389 motor vehicle allowance and $16,480 continuing professional development allowance per annum, pro rata.

  • Relocation Support: Up to $15,000 available for eligible candidates to assist with relocation and commencement.



Requirements



  • Specialist Registration: Must hold AHPRA Specialist registration as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

  • Eligibility for International Medical Graduates (IMG): IMGs with recognised overseas specialist qualifications who meet experience requirements are encouraged to apply.

  • Working with Children Registration: Required, where applicable.
