CBT Therapist

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed CBT Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the South West London area.

As the CBT Therapist your key responsibilities include:



  • Working in the outpatient team to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) assessment, formulation and treatment to clients

  • Work closely with relevant other professionals as appropriate

  • Communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerns the assessment, formulation and treatment plans to clients

  • Undertake risk assessment and risk management of service users

  • Provide CBT based assessment, formulation and treatment for people experiencing mental health difficulties

  • Undertaking and managing a clinical caseload in accordance with operational policy

  • Attend monthly clinical supervision to develop knowledge, skills, and promote access to clinical excellence

  • High levels of clinical governance are expected, including all documentation as required by the service



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Doctoral Clinical/Counselling Psychology with BABCP accreditation or working towards this.

    Or, registered health professional and BABCP Accredited

  • Assessed experience of working as a qualified CBT therapist

  • Experience of working in mental health delivering CBT treatment

  • Able to deliver interventions to a wide range of clients



The successful CBT Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £38,000 - £44,000 pro rata.

This exciting position is a permanent part time role working around 22 hours a week.
