Estimator

An established structural steel company in North Yorkshire is currently seeking an Estimator to join their team.

Important Details:
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Reporting to: Contracts Director

Duties:

• Prepare accurate estimates for structural steelwork and sub-contract works.


• Assess material, labour, and equipment requirements.


• Analyse quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure profitability.


• Input data into Estimating Software with precision.


• Coordinate with technical services and other departments.


• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and quantity surveyors.


• Organise and administrate tender enquiries and documentation.


• Collect and distribute project feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications Required:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the Construction Industry.


• Strong maths and IT skills, including problem-solving and attention to detail.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Additional Information:

• The role may require occasional travel to meet potential clients within the UK.
