Position Details

As a Staff Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, you will:



  • Deliver expert care to community clients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and fellow psychiatrists.

  • Provide clinical governance for the CAMHS team, ensuring high standards of patient care.

  • Offer consultation to emergency, pediatric, and other hospital departments regarding young patients.

  • Participate in an after-hours CAMHS on-call roster, providing specialist advice to clinicians across the network.

  • Engage in teaching activities, including the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

  • Contribute to research, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development programs.

Requirements

Qualifications:



  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent specialist recognition, with subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
