Job Opportunity: Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 7)

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum

What We're Looking For



  • Qualifications:


    • Degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration.

    • Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).


  • Experience:


    • Previous expertise in neurorehabilitation and post-acute care.

    • Knowledge of treating Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Stroke, Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness (PDOC), and Spinal Cord Injuries.

    • Experience equivalent to Band 6 or 7, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and train therapy team members.



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead as the Occupational Therapy Team Lead when required, acting as a pivotal figure in the community team.

  • Develop and implement innovative, evidence-based treatments rooted in neuroplasticity and motor re-learning principles.

  • Manage a diverse clinical caseload, prioritizing and planning effectively.

  • Work collaboratively with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to support diagnosis, problem-solving, and the development of rehabilitation programs.

  • Drive service improvements and provide collaborative, patient-centered interventions.

  • Maintain thorough clinical records in line with RCOT and company standards.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, the MDT, and external stakeholders.

  • Deliver educational programs for MDT colleagues to enhance team expertise.

  • Supervise and guide junior staff, including Band 6 therapists, therapy assistants, and students.
