ASSOCIATE DENTIST & CLINICAL ADVISOR ROLE TO COVER NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND

• 2-3 days/week: Self-Employed Associate Dentist (NHS and Private)
• 1-2 days/week: Employed Clinical Advisor

Location: North West (ability to travel to Leicester occasionally to attend Head Office)

Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced dental professional to join our team as a Clinical Advisor.

This hybrid role combines clinical practice and leadership responsibilities to ensure high-quality patient care and robust clinician support across our dental network.

In this role, you will work a minimum of two days per week as a self-employed Associate Dentist providing a mixture of NHS and private dentistry, delivering exceptional clinical care to patients.



The remaining one to two days will focus on providing leadership as an employed Clinical Advisor, supporting the recruitment, development, and retention of clinicians, ensuring compliance with industry standards, taking responsibility for robust internal auditing processes

Reportable to Clinical Director with a dotted line into the Acquisitions and Operations Director

Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Dentist (Self-Employed):
• Provide general dental care to patients, ensuring high standards of clinical excellence.
• Build strong relationships with patients, promoting trust and long-term oral health.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Stay current with advancements in dental techniques and technology through self-development
As a Clinical Advisor (Employed):
• Compliance and Auditing:
o Monitor compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
o Conduct validation of clinical audits e.g.

Radiography Audits, Patient Record Audits
o Review DAF reports and address findings

• Recruitment and Retention:
o Identify and recruit talented clinicians to join the team.
o Foster a supportive and engaging environment to enhance clinician satisfaction and retention.
o Ensuring regular and effective 1-2-1s are conducted with Associate Dentists and remedial actions are carried out in a timely manner.
• Professional Development:
o Working with the Clinical Director to develop, deliver and implement training programs to support clinicians' growth including A&U Evolve.
o Mentor and coach clinicians to enhance their clinical and professional skills.
• Complaint Management:
o Ensure patient complaints are handled professionally, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
o Implement processes to prevent recurring issues.
• Quality Assurance:
o Work closely with the management team to drive clinical excellence across all practices.
o Conduct regular reviews of clinical processes and recommend improvements.

Skills and Experience Required
• Qualifications:
o BDS or equivalent qualification.
o Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years in general dental practice.
o Previous experience in a leadership, advisory, or mentoring role is highly desirable.
• Skills:
o Strong clinical and technical expertise in general dentistry.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Proven ability to handle complaints and resolve issues effectively.
o Familiarity with compliance requirements and clinical audits in the dental sector.
o A proactive approach to team development and clinician engagement.
