Location: Lodge Farm Industrial Estate, Northampton, NN5 7UW
Salary: £33,400 per annum + Company Pension
⏰ Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Night Shift Tool Setter to join our plastics department, operating and setting up injection moulding machinery (60T - 500T) at our Northampton facility.

You will be responsible for tool changes, quality control, machine setup, and troubleshooting, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently.

This role requires autonomy, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as you will be ensuring product quality and production continuity throughout the night shift.

✅ Carry out tool changes and set up injection moulding machines
✅ Monitor product quality and ensure consistency
✅ Identify and troubleshoot tooling/equipment issues, escalating as needed
✅ Perform regular tool maintenance
✅ Work with hot runner systems and various thermoplastic materials (PA, PP, HDPE, PC/ABS, etc.)
✅ Ensure compliance with ISO9001 (IATF16949 desirable) standards and procedures
✅ Operate within health & safety guidelines

✔ 5+ years' experience in plastics manufacturing
✔ Strong problem-solving skills with a "can-do" attitude
✔ Knowledge of ancillary equipment and processing parameters
✔ Experience with quality inspection processes
✔ Forklift (Pedestrian Stacker or FLT) & Overhead Crane certification
✔ IT literacy and attention to detail
