Position Details

As a Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, you will:



  • Assist in the delivery of obstetric and gynaecological services under the supervision of senior medical staff.

  • Provide high-quality care to inpatients and outpatients, ensuring best practice and patient-centred care.

  • Perform emergency and routine obstetric and gynaecological procedures under supervision.

  • Participate in teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and medical students.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

  • Engage in on-call and after-hours cover as required.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent, with registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.

  • If qualifications were obtained outside Australia, eligibility for AHPRA registration with Level 3 supervision.

  • Evidence of recent clinical practice, successful completion of IELTS (if required), and AMC MCQ (Part 1) examination.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting.
