Insurance Fraud Lawyer

Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer to join their high-performing, specialist Counter-Fraud team based in Bolton, focused on combating linked and organised insurance fraud.

In this strategic role, you'll be the technical lead for a team of lawyers, managing complex caseloads and shaping market-leading counter-fraud strategies.

As an Insurance Fraud Lawyer, you will:

• Work closely with senior leadership to manage a portfolio of linked and organised fraud cases.


• Lead and manage complex counter-fraud litigation across multiple linked operations.


• Develop and implement robust case strategies aligned with client goals.


• Supervise and review the work of legal handlers and assistants.


• Build and maintain strong client relationships with insurers and stakeholders.


• Represent the team in collaboration with industry bodies, regulators, and fraud prevention networks.


• Drive performance, mentoring, and development of team members.


• Contribute to team growth through strategic insight and client development.

• Extensive experience handling high-value or complex non-delegated counter-fraud claims.


• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.


• Strong understanding of fraud detection, prevention, and litigation strategy.


• Commercial acumen and ability to tailor legal solutions to client needs.


• Excellent communication, case analysis, and relationship-building skills.


• Confident, analytical, and performance-driven mindset.


• Experience interfacing directly with insurer clients and regulatory stakeholders.


• Familiarity with industry fraud forums or prevention groups.


• Track record of delivering innovation in fraud litigation.
