Family Solicitor

We are working with a highly respected West Yorkshire law firm, based in Otley, which is looking to recruit an experienced Family Solicitor to join their growing private family law team.

This is a key hire with future succession into the practice management team firmly in mind.

The Role:

You will work closely with the current Head of Department, a highly experienced family solicitor who is also an accredited family mediator and collaborative lawyer.

The department has a strong reputation and handles a full range of private family law, including:

• Divorce and financial remedy


• Cohabitation disputes


• Children matters


• Collaborative law and mediation

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a well-established caseload and play a key role in the continued development of a busy and well-regarded family law offering.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a full caseload of private family law matters


• Supporting and working alongside the current Head of Department on complex and high-value cases


• Playing an active role in business development and the department's strategic growth


• Providing supervision and mentoring as the team grows (if desired)

About You

• A qualified Family Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE in private family law


• Confident handling a caseload with minimal supervision
