
Deputy Manager Aged Care Residential Home
Applications are invited from suitably-experienced Registered Nurses to support the Home Manager in leading the team at our clients 45 bedded Nursing and Residential Care Home on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
The home was originally a charitable organisation, established in 1948 and was acquired by the States of Guernsey, Health & Social Care in 2023.
This is a Band 6A role, reporting to the Band 7 Manager.
The ethos of care at the home is to provide appropriate and individualised care for each resident.
Particular attention is paid to providing an extremely high standard of personalised care with choice, rights and wishes all taken into account.
With Residential and Nursing beds, residents are able to transfer as required without the need to move as care needs increase.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Guernsey Band 6A Deputy Ward Manager salary range is £47,946 to £64,108 plus an annual bonus of £1,604 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.
The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000.
It has some of Britain's finest and best-kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbour town in St.
Peter's Port, the island's capital.
Person requirements:
Registered Nurse (RMN, RGN, RNLD) with current NMC Registration.
Current or recent senior Band 5 experience in an Aged Care setting including taking charge of the home.
Experienced in deputising for the Ward Manager in their absence.
Passionate about working with as part of a small committed team, ensuring quality care.
