Assistant Family Worker

In the Assistant Family Worker role, you will be:


  • Running and supporting group sessions and informal gatherings in Family Centres, schools, and community settings
  • Creating a welcoming environment that encourages peer support between families
  • Planning, organising, and delivering activities for children and families
  • Transporting resources to venues using the team van, as well as packing/unpacking and setting up equipment
  • Maintaining resources, including cleaning and rotating toys to provide varied play experiences
  • Supporting families to access the Family Centre/Family Support Teams and wider community services
  • Promoting the Family Centre and engaging with the community as a single point of access

To be successful, you will need:


  • Experience of working with children, young people, and families
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to put people at ease
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using technology and software packages
  • Ability to travel throughout Conwy

This is a temporary assignment for initially 12–16 weeks, working full-time 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday.

You'll be based in Llandudno and on an hourly rate of £13.05 plus holiday pay, weekly pay and other benefits.
