Tekla Draughtsman

We are looking for an experienced Tekla Draughtsman to join a busy design team on a full-time, office-based basis in Bedfordshire.

This is a permanent role offering long-term stability within a growing architectural metalwork department.

Location: Bedfordshire (office based)
Hours: 8:00 - 17:30 with a 30-minute lunch break
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per year (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Bonus: Eligible for an annual company-performance bonus after one year (Employee Owned Trust scheme)

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings in Tekla for metalwork packages including balconies, balustrades, staircases, and associated steelwork


• Produce GA drawings, fabrication details, and issue complete drawing packs for manufacture


• Work closely with the internal engineer and design manager to ensure all work is coordinated, compliant, and practical for fabrication


• Liaise with project teams to meet programme requirements and client expectations


• Ensure all detailing aligns with current UK building regulations and industry standards

Requirements:

• Strong Tekla Structures, structural steel & architectural metalwork experience, heavy emphasis on architectural metalwork


• Confident understanding of fabrication methods and workshop processes


• Familiar with UK building regulations and detailing standards


• High attention to detail, able to work independently and within a team


• Office-based role in Bedfordshire (site surveys not required)
