Support Worker (Driver Required)

Location: Alfreton

Pay Rate: £14.00 - £20.00 per hour

Shift Pattern: 4 days per week | 6-hour shifts

Applicants must be able to communicate clearly in English.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and reliable Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care to our client.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about empowering individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives while engaging in meaningful activities within the community.

You will play a key role in supporting the client's emotional well-being, physical independence, and social connection—making a genuine and lasting impact every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to promote independence and well-being


• Encourage motivation, routine, and positive engagement


• Support and accompany the client in community activities and outings


• Drive the client to social and recreational activities


• Assist with meal preparation


• Maintain professional, compassionate, and person-centred standards of care at all times


• Work as part of a 2:1 support team, alongside another Support Worker

About the Client

The client enjoys an active and engaging lifestyle and has a strong interest in:

• Exploring the local community


• Flying drones


• Spending time in his aviary

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys shared activities and building positive, supportive relationships.

Role Details

• Part-time position with flexibility


• 4 days per week, working 6-hour shifts

• 2:1 care environment

Requirements

• Full, valid UK driving licence (essential)


• Business car insurance required (use of own vehicle)


• Minimum 12 months' experience in a support work setting


• Reliable, proactive, and encouraging approach


• Awareness of acquired brain injury is desirable but not essential


• Strong communication skills and a professional manner
