About the role/school
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming one-form-entry primary school in Feltham, Hounslow, starting ASAP.

This is a full-time role supporting a child in Year 1 who is partially Deaf and requires personal care.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping the pupil access learning, establish new routines, and thrive within the school environment by setting clear, firm boundaries.

Job Responsibilities
The SEN Teaching Assistant will be responsible for:

  Providing 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil who is partially Deaf, adapting learning activities as needed

  
  


• 
  

  Supporting with personal care in a respectful and professional manner

  
  


• 
  

  Establishing consistent routines and setting clear, firm boundaries

  
  


• 
  

  Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals

  
  


• 
  

  Acting as the SEN Teaching Assistant point of support to encourage engagement, independence and emotional wellbeing

  
  

Qualifications/Experience
To be successful as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• 
  

  Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally hearing impairment

  
  


• 
  

  Confidence with personal care and behaviour management

  
  


• 
  

  A calm, patient and proactive approach

  
  


• 
  

  Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

  
  


• 
  

  Right to work in the UK
