Job Title:         General Manager

An independent East London pub with a strong food focus is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the business.

This is a hands‑on, guest‑focused role within a site that balances dining and drinks equally, making it ideal for a manager who can move confidently between the bar, the floor and the pass.

We’re looking for a leader who can take full ownership of the operation, working closely with the owner while having the autonomy to shape standards, drive revenue and develop the team.

General Manager Requirements:

• Proven management experience within a pub, bar or restaurant environment

• Strong understanding of restaurant‑style service and dining room standards
• Confident with wine, cocktails and bar operations
• A practical, adaptable leader who can oversee both FOH and BOH operations
• Ability to motivate, train and develop a team
• Commercial awareness, including stock control, labour management and driving revenue
• Someone who thrives in an independent setting and enjoys taking ownership
