Structural Steel Site Manager

We are currently looking for a Structural Steel Site Manager for a Temp-to-Perm position based in East London.

This role involves overseeing the installation of structural steelwork on high-profile projects, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and to the required specifications.

Rate: £300.00 per day
Hours: 07:30AM - 05:30PM
Contract: Temp-to-Perm

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day site operations for structural steel erection in East London.


• Supervise personnel and subcontractors to ensure work meets design and programme specifications.


• Ensure strict adherence to RAMS, lifting plans, and health & safety regulations (CDM 2015, LOLER).


• Oversee steel deliveries, storage, and safe handling of materials.


• Maintain detailed site records (daily diaries, permits, inspection documentation).


• Liaise with Tier 1 main contractors, site engineers, and client representatives.


• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in structural steel site management.


• Valid SMSTS (Essential).


• Black or Gold CSCS Card (Manager/Supervisor level) (Essential).


• Ability to interpret structural steel fabrication and erection drawings.


• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to commute across East London sites.


• Experience with Appointed Person (Lifting Ops) or Temporary Works is highly desirable.
