Role Responsibilities - Early Career Teacher (ECT)

As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will:

  • Work closely with mentors and senior leaders to develop teaching practice

The Ideal Early Career Teacher (ECT)

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic ECT who is ready to start their teaching career in a supportive school environment.


Essential Requirements


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or pending qualification in 2026)




  • Eligible to complete Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction




  • Passion for teaching and commitment to professional development




  • Strong communication and organisational skills




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)




  • Right to work in the UK




Desirable


  • Experience teaching during placements in a primary school setting




  • Good understanding of the National Curriculum
