Apprentice Customer Service Freight Forwarder

A fast-paced, customer-facing apprenticeship supporting the end-to-end movement of freight.

You’ll act as a key link between customers, transport providers, and internal teams, ensuring shipments run smoothly and customers stay fully informed at every stage.

Key Responsibilities


  • Act as the primary contact for customers, providing clear, timely updates on shipment progress
  • Proactively communicate delays, changes, or issues and manage expectations
  • Liaise with hauliers and airlines to gather real-time shipment and schedule information
  • Monitor jobs from start to finish, ensuring service levels are met
  • Respond promptly to customer queries via phone, email, and internal systems
  • Maintain accurate records of communications and job activity
  • Build strong working relationships with transport partners and colleagues
  • Identify and escalate potential service issues to minimise disruption
  • Deliver professional, high-quality customer service at all times

Salary of £17,500 with company benefits to include:

Annual Leave 21 Days + Bank holiday increase of 1 day per year

To be considered for this opportunity you must drive and have access to your own vehicle to commute to and from work.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30 (37.5 hours a week)
