About the role and school

We are seeking a Year 6 Teacher to join a large and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest from September.

This Year 6 Teacher role is ideal for a confident practitioner with strong upper KS2 experience and the ability to prepare pupils for SATs and transition to secondary school.

The school has a strong leadership team, excellent behaviour systems and a collaborative upper KS2 department.

The Year 6 Teacher will join a supportive environment with a strong focus on raising attainment and pupil wellbeing.

This Year 6 Teacher role would suit an ambitious teacher looking to make a strong impact within KS2.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Year 6 teaching


• Prepare pupils for SATs and transition


• Plan, assess and adapt learning effectively


• Support progress and attainment across KS2


• Maintain strong classroom behaviour


• Work collaboratively with staff and parents

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• Experience in KS2 or Year 6 desirable


• Strong understanding of SATs preparation


• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service


• Right to work in the UK
