About the role and school


Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher with primary teaching experience, looking for a rewarding opportunity in Hounslow this September? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher with primary teaching experience, to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

This SEN Teacher role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic, social and emotional development of KS3 students with a range of additional needs, while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

This SEN Teacher position would suit an enthusiastic professional, with primary teaching experience, who is committed to inclusive education and has a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.

Job Responsibilities



  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated KS3 lessons that meet the needs of students with SEND

  • Assess, monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and external agencies to support student outcomes

  • Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence

  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to EHCP reviews

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers and colleagues to ensure consistent support for students



Qualifications/Experience



  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification

  • Experience as a SEN Teacher or in a similar role

  • Experience teaching at primary level and good KS2 curriculum knowledge

  • Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

  • Right to work in the UK
