Are you an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in Acton? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their SEND unit from September 2026.

This full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with a range of SEND and complex needs during the crucial early stages of their education and is confident delivering engaging, child-centred learning experiences.

Job Responsibilities



  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate SEND learning activities

  • Deliver targeted SEND interventions such as Speech and Language interventions

  • Assist with planning and preparing sensory and SEND-based activities

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to support children's progress and wellbeing

  • Monitor and record children's learning and development, providing feedback to the class teacher

  • Encourage independence, curiosity and positive behaviour through effective classroom support



Qualifications/Experience



  • Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role

  • Strong SEND knowledge relevant to the role

  • Experience with complex needs such as Autism, Non-Verbal, Speech and Language needs

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

  • Right to work in the UK
