Payroll Administrator

Develop your payroll career within a well-established and growing professional services environment, where you'll work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service as part of a supportive team.

In the Payroll Administrator role, you will:


  • Process and manage weekly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients, including HMRC submissions
  • Complete auto-enrolment assessments, calculate pension contributions and submit pension data
  • Process starters and leavers, including calculating statutory payments
  • Prepare and submit monthly CIS returns
  • Liaise with HMRC, pension providers and clients regarding payroll queries and requirements
  • Carry out a range of payroll administration duties while maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality

To be successful, you will need:


  • Previous experience in a similar payroll position
  • A good understanding of payroll legislation and auto-enrolment requirements
  • The ability to complete manual payroll calculations accurately
  • Excellent numeracy skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills and a proactive approach to supporting clients
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365, with experience using payroll software such as Sage or IRIS Staffology being advantageous
  • A CIPP qualification and/or knowledge of the NHS Pension Scheme would be desirable

This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, working full time (typically 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).

A job share arrangement may also be considered.

Offering a salary of £27,500 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience, you'll be based in North Wales.
