About the role and school

We are seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Brent from September.

This Year 1 Teacher role offers the opportunity to join a supportive KS1 team with a strong focus on delivering high-quality teaching, developing early literacy and numeracy skills, and helping pupils build confidence as they progress through Key Stage 1.

The successful Year 1 Teacher will become part of a collaborative staff team where creativity, pupil wellbeing and professional development are highly valued.

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will have access to excellent planning support, well-resourced classrooms and an experienced leadership team committed to staff success.

This Year 1 Teacher opportunity is suitable for both experienced teachers and enthusiastic Early Career Teachers looking to develop within a thriving Inner London primary school.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons as a Year 1 Teacher


• Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum


• Support pupils to achieve strong academic and personal progress


• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment


• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff


• Contribute to the wider life of the school

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 is desirable


• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum


• Excellent classroom management and communication skills


• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service


• Right to work in the UK
