Estimator

A leading structural steel specialist is currently looking for an Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for hot-rolled and cold-formed structural steel packages in North Yorkshire.

Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (DOE)

Duties:

• Carry out take-offs and quantify materials and labour from drawings (Tekla Structures, Strucad or similar)


• Source and negotiate pricing from suppliers, subcontractors and fabricators


• Prepare comprehensive tender submissions and bid documentation within deadlines


• Liaise with the design, sales and commercial teams during the tender stage


• Maintain and update pricing databases and cost libraries

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within structural steel, off-site construction, or a related engineering/construction sector


• Working knowledge of Tekla Structures, Strucad, or similar estimating/detailing software


• Strong ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
