Nursing Home Manager - Complex Care
Applications are invited from suitably-experienced senior Registered Nurses to lead the team at our clients 17 bedded Complex Care Nursing Home on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
You will have responsibility for leading the home and a team of employees to deliver outstanding levels of care to all residents.
This is a full-time, permanent post of 40 hours/five days per week with flexibility around start and finish times and no weekends.
This family-run and privately-operated employer comprises four homes providing Nursing, Residential and Dementia Care across Guernsey who are committed to ongoing professional development.
Residents of this home are of mixed ages some under 65 and include; Complex medical needs, Unstable diabetes, PEG feeding, Urinary catheters and Tracheaostomy in addition to some with Challenging behaviour and a diagnosis of Dementia.
The high standards of this is organisation is reliant on the excellent calibre of Nurses at all levels recruited to a very high standard.
Supported by a Deputy Manager, and peer support from three other group Care Home Managers the home is staffed by;
(Days) two Registered Nurses and up to five Care Assistants.
(Nights) one Registered Nurse and up to three Care Assistants.
The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000.
It has some of Britain's finest and best-kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbour town in St.
Peter's Port, the island's capital.
Person requirements:
Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration (RGN or RMN)
Current or recent experience at Deputy Nursing Home Manager or Home Manager level
A clinical background including the care of residents with Complex Physical Health needs
Completion of a Level 5 Management qualification, or willingness to undertake
Strong communication skills and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
A sound knowledge of Care Home regulations and legislation
Experienced in budget management
Experience in HR; Recruitment and Retention of registered and unregistered staff
