Implant Dentist

DENTAL ASSOCIATE / IMPLANT DENTIST - North West / Lancashire

4 days per week mixed practice.

2 days NHS and 2 days private (implants are a must, Invisalign and bonding portfolio desirable)

A rare opportunity is available for an experienced associate dentist to work in a well-established, independently owned mixed practice in Lancashire.

The role combines 2 days of NHS dentistry with 2 days of fully private work, offering the security of a predictable NHS income and NHS pension alongside significant earning potential from private restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry.

We are particularly interested in a clinician who is already experienced and confident in both placing and restoring dental implants.

The NHS position would ideally include approximately:

3,000 UDAs per year at £15 per UDA

There is some flexibility around the UDA allocation for the right candidate.

The associate will take over an established patient base within a long-standing practice and will benefit from:

• NHS pensionable income
• 50/50 laboratory fees
• experienced nursing and support team
• dental therapists and hygienist support
• modern digital workflow and equipment.

On the private side there is an established and growing patient base with significant investment in paid patient acquisition.

Unlike many private associate positions, the successful candidate will not be expected to generate all of their own private work from routine examinations.

Over the most recent six-month period, the clinic generated:

101 Invisalign/composite bonding consultations

Average: approximately 17 consultations per month

and

27 implant consultations

Average: 4-5 implant consultations per month

These figures exclude a number of general website enquiries and enquiries that were not treatment-tagged within the CRM.

Paid advertising is currently funded by the practice and no marketing fee is currently deducted from the associate

Privately the practice provides a comprehensive range of implant, restorative, cosmetic and orthodontic treatment, including single and multiple implants, implant-supported prostheses, full-arch treatment, bone grafting and other associated surgical procedures.

CBCT and iTero scanning are available on site.

Two dental nurses are provided as standard for implant sessions.

Digital setup

• Dentally Pro
• Dentally Vision
• AI-assisted clinical notes
• EDI integration
• integrated electronic referral systems
• iTero intraoral scanners
• digital radiography
• CBCT machine
• modern surgeries and equipment

The successful candidate should already be comfortable with:

• implant placement
• implant restoration
• treatment planning
• restorative dentistry
• composite bonding / aesthetic dentistry
• Invisalign experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Training and support can be provided for an appropriate clinician wishing to develop this aspect of their practice.

We would expect candidates to provide a portfolio of clinical work, particularly examples of implant and restorative cases, as part of the recruitment process.

The practice fee for private work is 55%.

The practice will also pay 55% of the private lab bills.

This would suit a clinician who enjoys private dentistry but also values the stability of guaranteed NHS income, rather than relying entirely upon building a private book from scratch.

Start date is flexible and remuneration/working arrangements can be discussed with the right applicant.
