Counterbalance FLT Driver / Production Operative

Location: Allerton Bywater, Castleford, WF10
Pay: £13.72 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday – rotating 3-shift pattern
Shifts: 6am–2pm | 2pm–10pm | 10pm–6am
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Aqumen Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver / Production Operative to join a well-established recycling business in Allerton Bywater.

This is a hands-on role combining Counterbalance FLT driving with general production and recycling duties, so we're looking for someone who is happy to get off the truck and support the wider operation when required.

You must be able to work all three rotating shifts, including the night shift:

• 6am–2pm
• 2pm–10pm
• 10pm–6am

Applicants should also be comfortable working in a busy recycling/production environment and carrying out practical, hands-on duties alongside FLT driving.

Your duties will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely around the site
• Moving, stacking and organising materials
• Feeding materials into production and conveyor systems
• Working on recycling and production lines
• Sorting and handling recycled materials
• Supporting machine operators and the wider production team
• Completing basic production paperwork
• Keeping work areas safe and organised
• Following all site health and safety procedures

• Holds a valid Counterbalance FLT licence
• Has previous Counterbalance FLT experience
• Is willing to combine FLT driving with general production duties
• Can reliably work the full rotating 3-shift pattern
• Is punctual, dependable and safety-conscious
• Is comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Wants a stable, long-term, full-time position
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
