Textile Technical Operative – Mirfield

£14.18 per hour to start + skill-based pay increases
Monday–Friday | Rotating Double Days
06:15–14:15 / 14:15–22:15

Aqumen Recruitment is looking for Machine Operatives to join an established textile manufacturer in Mirfield.

This is a great opportunity for someone with production or machinery experience — or strong mechanical aptitude — who wants to develop into a skilled machine operator.

Full training is provided.

• Operate specialist textile machinery.
• Monitor machine performance and production flow.
• Carry out quality checks.
• Make basic adjustments once trained.
• Identify faults and report technical issues.
• Complete production records accurately.
• Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.
• Work to production, quality and efficiency targets.

You should be:

• Reliable and punctual.
• Mechanically or technically minded.
• Comfortable working around machinery.
• Able to follow instructions and procedures.
• Quality focused with good attention to detail.
• Confident working independently once trained.
• Able to work both rotating shifts.

Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience is highly desirable, particularly within:

Textiles | Engineering | Packaging | Plastics | Print | Food Production | CNC | Extrusion | General Manufacturing

Direct textile experience is not essential.

You’ll receive full machine-specific training, with your pay increasing as you develop your skills and competence.

There are also opportunities to progress into multi-skilled, Team Leader and Supervisor roles.

You must be able to reliably travel to Mirfield for the 06:15 start and work both shifts:

06:15–14:15
14:15–22:15
