About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently recruiting for experienced Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Tower Hamlets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Supply Teacher looking for flexibility, variety and the opportunity to work in different school environments across the borough.

As a Supply Teacher, you will be expected to confidently take responsibility for the classroom, deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain a positive learning environment.

You may be working across different year groups, making this role particularly suited to teachers who enjoy variety in their working week.

Schools are looking for reliable and adaptable Supply Teachers who can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons across a range of primary year groups.


• Follow existing lesson plans and school expectations.


• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.


• Create a positive and engaging learning environment.


• Adapt to different school settings and year groups.


• Provide appropriate support to pupils with additional needs.


• Maintain continuity of learning throughout the school day.


• Communicate effectively with school staff.


• Follow safeguarding and school policies.


• Provide professional feedback to the school where appropriate.

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status is essential.


• Previous UK primary teaching experience.


• Strong classroom management skills.


• Good understanding of the primary curriculum.


• Ability to confidently teach across different year groups.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Reliable and adaptable approach.


• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable.
