C2 Recruitment is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader - Stock Control to join a busy distribution centre in Basildon.


This is a hands-on role where you'll lead a small team responsible for checking stock accuracy across the warehouse.

You'll still be involved in the day-to-day operation, but you'll also be responsible for supporting your team, maintaining standards and making sure daily targets are achieved.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll lead the daily stock checking operation, making sure goods moving through the distribution centre are accurate and discrepancies are identified quickly.


Your responsibilities will include:




  • Leading a small warehouse stock control team




  • Carrying out physical checks on pallets, cages and trailer loads




  • Checking outbound loads against paperwork and delivery requirements




  • Verifying incoming deliveries and identifying discrepancies




  • Monitoring daily performance and stock accuracy




  • Making sure quality and productivity targets are achieved




  • Coaching and supporting team members




  • Conducting regular 1:1s and providing feedback




  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation




  • Identifying recurring issues and helping improve processes




What We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need to be an experienced Team Leader.


If you've built good warehouse experience and you're someone who takes responsibility, supports others and naturally leads from the front, we'd be interested in speaking with you.


You'll need:




  • Previous warehouse experience




  • Experience within stock control, goods-in, dispatch, inventory or auditing would be particularly useful




  • Excellent attention to detail




  • Confidence working with basic calculations




  • Good communication skills




  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge




  • The confidence to support and motivate others




  • The ability to work to targets without compromising accuracy




  • To be aged 18 or over




Hours

Full-time, permanent
5 days out of 7
8-hour shifts


This is a site-based position working in an ambient warehouse environment.
