  • Negotiating and concluding settlements where appropriate.
  • Liaising with the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service, Employment Tribunals, solicitors and other parties.
  • Managing tribunal deadlines and ensuring all procedural requirements are met.
  • Keeping clients informed and maintaining accurate records on our case management system.
  • Supporting colleagues within the legal services team when required.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and experienced in employment tribunal advocacy.

You will need:

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and tribunal procedures.
  • Experience of managing tribunal cases independently from preparation through to conclusion.
  • Excellent advocacy, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A professional, approachable manner and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team.

You do not need to be a qualified solicitor or barrister, but previous hands-on Employment Tribunal advocacy experience is essential.

What We Offer

  • Salary of £45,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.
  • 25 days' annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Commission on new clients introduced to the business.
  • Employee referral incentive scheme.
  • Private medical insurance through Vitality, including death in service benefit after probation.
  • Optical and dental cost reimbursement of up to £400 per year after probation.
  • Access to a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Employee discounts on products, services and holidays after probation.
  • Discretionary sick pay scheme after probation.
  • A friendly, supportive working environment within an established family-run business.
